JENKINS ROAD RESIDENCE

This home was crafted for a growing family who needed space that supports their dynamic lifestyle—kids running in and out, gathering for meals, and unwinding together in spaces that feel both open and intimate. Designed with intention, every room fosters connection while embracing the surrounding landscape in a way that enhances, rather than overwhelms, daily life.

Key spaces were carefully positioned to capture long western views, ensuring that whether sharing a meal, watching TV together, or settling in for the night, the family can experience the warmth of the setting sun and the peaceful transition of the day. Expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light, creating a seamless connection between indoors and out while maintaining a sense of comfort and retreat.

A one-bedroom casita, complete with its own kitchen and living space, sits just beyond a screened porch, offering privacy for guests while maintaining an easy flow to the main house. This covered connection provides a comfortable place to gather, sheltered from Texas heat and insects, making it a welcoming retreat for both everyday use and extended stays.

The primary wing on one side and the casita on the other frame the backyard and rear porch, offering protection from the harsh north winds and midday sun while preserving openness and the expansive western views. This thoughtful layout balances shelter and exposure, creating a home that feels both grounded and expansive, personal yet connected.

Jenkins Road isn’t just a house—it’s a home designed for the way life naturally unfolds, blending beauty, function, and a sense of belonging.
